    Deskjet is a brand name for inkjet printers manufactured by Hewlett-Packard.
    Inkjet is the technology use by the printer to print. This technology works like this (in a simple explanation):
    • The printer ink is a liquid inside the ink cartridge and it’ is then applied on the paper.
    • Using the inkjet technology, the characters are form by spraying very tiny dots of variable size of ink at the paper.

    Deskjet is just a branding name of an inkjet printer. There is also names like the Office Jet which is again just a model not an actual type of printer. The most usual types are printers are inkjet and laser. One uses ink (inkjet) the other (laser) uses toner.
